Kranjska Gora, Slovenia – Between 27 and 29 March 2019, DCAF Ljubljana in cooperation with the Border Police Division of the Slovenian Police organised Meeting of Heads of Police Cooperation Centres (PCCCs).
The aim of the meeting was strengthening regional cooperation among PCCCs in the Western Balkan region in the fight against all forms of crime, especially cross-border crime, based on common standards and equal performance, facilitating an effective exchange of information among PCCCs in the Western Balkan region in line with existing multilateral and bilateral agreements / contracts and preparing recommendations for instructions for the work of PCCCs in the Western Balkan region.
Divided into three groups, the participants first performed a SWOT analysis of internal strengths and weaknesses as well as external opportunities and threats and presented their findings in plenary.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to facilitate the exchange of working information on the PCCCs in the Western Balkan region and exchange examples of good/bad practices in the European Union.
The meeting was organised under the framework of the DCAF Border Security Programme with the generous financial support granted by Norway.
