From 27 March - 4 April 2023, DCAF Border Security Programme facilitated a Common Operation "ARTEFAKT". The Operation took place in North Macedonie at the border crossing point Tabanovce (with R. Serbia) and in the green border area between the two countries. 

The Operation was organied with the financial support of the Project "Countering Serious Crime in the WB - IPA 2019" and provided an opportunity for enhancment of cooperation and knowledge in detecting and countering illicit trafficking of cultural goods. The Operation was hosted by North Macedonia and supported by officers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia. 

Prior to the Operational engagment, the officers received a dedicated training, designed and implemented by DCAF Ljubljana and Interpol.
