Second field visit of BP BiH to selected units of the BP Croatia
Between 9 and 13 September 2024, a field visit of BP BIH representatives took place, to selected units of BP Croatia. The visit is part of an ongoing Project "Support to the standardization of the resources of the border police of Bosnia and Herzegovina", financed by the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration, which works towards preparing standards for technical equipment of the BP BIH, taking into consideration also the necessary systemisation elements.
The aim of this field visit was for the representatives of the BP BIH to gain insight into the working of BP Croatia along the CRO/BIH border, with special focus on methods and technical capacities for conducting border checks and surveillance.
The visit started with a presenation of the organisation and work of the national sea center Zadar and the administration for coordination and surveillance of the blue border of R. Croatia. The participants additionally visited the BCP Metković, including the Marko Marulić street (bordering Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina), and the BCP Nova Sela. The participants continued with a visit to the airport Dubrovnik, and also visited the BCPs Gruda and Karasovići, where in additional to the "general" work assignments the participants were also familiarised in greater details with the work of the regional and local coordination center.
