3rd Workshop on Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Goods (ITCG)
The 3rd Workshop on ITCG was a continuation of the first two workshops, where the participants discussed the phenomenon of ITCG, identified existing legalisation, reviewed existing national capacities for its tackling including identification of needs, and outlined the risk indicators for recognition of ITCG.
In line with discussions from the previous workshops, risk indicators for recognition of ITCG were discussed and agreed upon. Also, the concept of awareness-raising material (posters and leaflets) has been proposed and agreed by all the participants. In order to localize the ITCG awareness raising materials, the existing national operational procedures in cases of suspicion of ITCG were discussed. In addition, the timeline and mechanism for distribution of the awareness raising material to the relevant border crossing points in the Beneficiary countries were determined.
Representatives from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Montenegro, and North Macedonia participated the workshop.
The activity is organised within the framework of a project granted by the Royal Norwegian Government.
