Between 27-27 October 2023, the representatives of Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina took part in a study visit to Slovenia. During the visit, organised within the Project “Standardization and systematization of technical equipment of the border police of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, supported by the Swiss Secretariat for Migration, the representatives visited selected units of the Slovenian Police and familiarised themselves in greater detail with specific elements of border checks and surveillance, as well as practical applicability of methods and technological solutions used. During the visit to the Specialised unit for state border control, the Airport police station Brnik, Police Station for Compensatory measures and the Maritime Police Station, the participants gained first-hand information on the technologies used and the organisation of the Slovenian Border police sector, specifically related to the questions of systemisation and standardisation, equipment specification, resources allocation and system integration, related cost and requirements (e.g., trainings, certificates, maintenance), etc.
